MINUTES

 

  • Call to Order/Invocation and Pledge – The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Cagnolatti. Councilman Corey Orgeron led the Committee in the invocation and pledge.

 

  • Roll Call – All members were present with the exception of Councilman Dempsey Lambert.

 

  • Chair’s Additions – There were no additions to the agenda.                           

 

  • Public Comment – Chairman Cagnolatti announced that anyone wishing to speak should sign in now.

 

 

GENERAL BUSINESS

 

 

  • Renewal of Contract between Ascension Parish Government and G&D PM Consulting for Owner’s Representation for the new Ascension Parish Courthouse and other duties as required, for a total annual amount of $49,900.00. A motion was made by Councilwoman Teri Casso, seconded by Councilman Travis Turner and unanimously approved to forward to the full Council for approval. 

 

 

 

  • David Mougeot with Mougeot Architecture requested the approval of Change Order #3 – Mougeot Architecture, LLC for the Galvez-Lake Station #51, for design fee and reimbursable expenses by an additional amount of $20,111.10 for a contract not to exceed amount of $150,111.10. A motion was made by Councilwoman Teri Casso, seconded by Councilman Corey Orgeron and unanimously approved to forward to the full Council for approval.                             

 

  • David Mougeot with Mougeot Architecture requested the approval of Change Order #5 – Mougeot Architecture, LLC for the Geismar Fire Station #80, for design fee and reimbursable expenses by an additional amount of $8,126.91 for a contract not to exceed amount of $257,853.42. A motion was made by Councilman Travis Turner, seconded by Councilwoman Teri Casso and unanimously approved to forward to the full Council for approval.

 

  • David Mougeot with Mougeot Architecture requested the approval of Change Order #7 – Mougeot Architecture, LLC for the St. Amant VFD Stations #60 and #61, for design fee and reimbursable expenses by an additional amount of $7,600.95 for substation #60 and an additional amount of $19,975.00 for substation #61, for a total contract not to exceed amount of $400,075.95. A motion was made by Councilman Michael Mason, seconded by Councilman Joel Robert and unanimously approved to forward to the full Council for approval.

 

  • David Mougeot with Mougeot Architecture requested the approval of Change Order #5 – Mougeot Architecture, LLC for the Sorrento Main Fire Station #20, for design fee and reimbursable expenses by an additional amount of $9,128.63 for a contract not to exceed amount of $245,832.14. A motion was made by Councilman Corey Orgeron, seconded by Councilman Michael Mason and unanimously approved to forward to the full Council for approval.

 

  • Lisa Weber-Curry, Director of Ascension Counseling Center requested the Renewal of Contract for 2020 with Alisha Massey, Evening Substance Abuse Group Leader with Ascension Counseling Center, 4 nights a week in the amount of $34,000.00. A motion was made by Councilman Travis Turner, seconded by Councilwoman Teri Casso and unanimously approved to forward to the full Council for approval.

 

  • Brandon O’Deay, IS/GIS Director requested the Renewal of Contract for 2020 with In-Telecom Consulting, formerly Access Communications for data wiring, network consulting and phone system support in the amount of $47,500.00. A motion was made by Councilwoman Teri Casso, seconded by Councilman Aaron Lawler and unanimously approved to forward to the full Council for approval. 

 

  • Sandra Perera, Paralegal presented the Monthly Contract Report to the Committee.

 

 

 

 

FINANCE REPORTS

 

  • Amanda Berot, Assistant Treasurer presented the Revenue and Expenditure Report to the Committee.

 

  • Cynthia LeBlanc with the Purchasing Department reported that the Purchasing Department accepted bids and is requesting approval To accept the lowest responsive bid as follows:

 

  1. Oil and Grease

Two (2) bids were received from Roland J. Robert Distributor, Inc. and Gaubert Oil Co., Inc. The Ascension Parish Purchasing Department and the Public Works Department, after review recommends accepting the lowest responsive bid submitted by Gaubert Oil, Inc.  A motion was made by Councilwoman Teri Casso, seconded by Councilman Aaron Lawler and unanimously approved to forward to the full Council for approval.

 

  • Adjourn

The meeting was adjourned at 5:58 PM on a motion by Councilwoman Teri Casso, seconded by Councilman Aaron Lawler and unanimous approval.
