Ascension Parish Governmental Offices Closed on Memorial Day
All Ascension Parish governmental offices and departments will be closed Monday, May 27, 2013 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Normal office hours will resume Tuesday, May 28.
Recycling Road Show Scheduled for Saturday, June 1
Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced Friday the Ascension Parish Recycling Road Show will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Wal-Mart store in Prairieville. A recycling vehicle will be stationed in the parking lot from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.
Corps Of Engineers: Digging Prohibited Within 1,500 Feet of Mississippi River Levee
Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced that all digging and excavating within 1,500 feet of the Mississippi River levee in Ascension Parish is prohibited until further notice.
Handicap-Accessible Gazebo/Pier Adds To Lamar Dixon Fishing Experience
Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced this week the newly constructed handicap-accessible gazebo/pier on the banks of the fishing pond at Lamar-Dixon Expo Center is continually drawing residents looking for an enjoyable fishing experience.
