Services of the Accounting Division:

• Maintain the Treasury of the Parish
  • No money shall be paid out of the Parish Treasury, unless same has been previously approved by the Governing Authority of the Parish or a lawfully authorized Court, as mandated by the Home Rule Charter.
• Financial Statements
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Payroll Processing
• Long term Disaster Recovery of funds due the Parish when a Federal/State/Local disaster is declared
• Process registration and title work for Parish owned vehicles and equipment
• Budgets – Operating and Capital (in accordance with Louisiana Budget Act, Ascension Home Rule Charter) Prepare and Manage the Budgets.
• Maintain Investment Portfolio
• Debt Service Management
• Fixed Assets Program
• Grants Accounting and Reporting
• File required Federal Reports
• Maintain a Fiscal Agent
• Prepare and provide for an Annual Audit
