EAST ASCENSION CONSOLIDATED GRAVITY DRAINAGE DISTRICT No. 1 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING

The Special Meeting of the East Ascension Consolidated Gravity Drainage District 1 Commission Meeting was held on June 13, 2012 at 5:20 P. M. in the Council Meeting Room, Courthouse Annex, Gonzales, Louisiana.

Chairman Randy Clouatre called the meeting to order.

The invocation was given by Randy Clouatre and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

Members Present: Daniel Satterlee, Dempsey Lambert, Randy Clouatre, Travis Turner, Benny Johnson and Todd Lambert

Members Absent: Bryan Melancon, Kent Schexnaydre, Chris Loar, and Terri Casso

Public Comments: None

Agenda Item #4 – Consideration of declaring a state of emergency at the Frog Bayou Locks and Bluff Swamp Drainage Basin due to structural failure of the locks.

Mr. Bill Roux explained the situation in the Frog Bayou and Bluff Swamp Drainage Basin. Additional comments were made by Commission Members and Parish President. There was a discussion.

A motion was made by Dempsey Lambert and seconded by Benny Johnson to adopt the Frog Bayou / Bluff Swamp Resolution. No objections. Motion carried.

There being no further business to come before this Commission, a motion was made by Todd Lambert and seconded by Benny Johnson to adjourn. No objections. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 5:45 PM.
